For those precious ones following my blog, you would have realized that I didn’t pause, but actually stop blogging for some time. It was just this one thing, then the next and then long lapses of silence.

Somewhere in there, I found myself seated at home watching TBN (Trinity Broadcast Network). To be precise, it was less than 24 hours ago. A gentleman was introduced with great cheering. He had no arms. He spoke about how he once questioned how a loving God who is all omnipotent could have forgotten to put arms in a baby.

I listened with all my heart and saw this man move on to play the guitar with his toes. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. It reminded me of how my dad plays guitar from his soul and it is so anointed because it comes from his gut.

While watching, I saw his lovely wife and heard there was a baby on the way. It seemed like such a fairytale love story, but this one was a real story. They showed a photo of how they perform together side by side.

It was not always like this. His village of birth considered him a curse at birth. When asked something along the line of what got him to arise after depression and the feeling that he was somehow forgotten, he said that one day he was compelled to go to church by his family and when he was there, this text was read:

“As He passed along, He noticed a man blind from his birth. His disciples asked Him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he should be born blind? Jesus answered, It was not that this man or his parents sinned, but he was born blind in order that the workings of God should be manifested (displayed and illustrated) in him.” (John 9:1-3, Amplified Bible)

I was reminded that God is in control – all the time. That God does not do mistakes. His story of how God had not in fact forgotten his hands, but that God knew what He was doing; that encouraged me to blog again.

I recall being grateful that I live in a third-world country (South Africa) and thankful that the things we see on TV often reach us late (for example in the show I watched, his child was not yet born). God’s timing is perfect. He knows even what we say inside our hearts within ourselves.

Oh, I could go on and on, but in the end, I am blogging again. That says it all. Dearest readers, I am so humbled to have George Dennehy on Wedding Anthem! What an honor to have this perfect blessing, made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26). Please welcome him to your space, home and heart.

Visit his website, leave a comment below, buy his music and invite him to your church/work. Just love him and his wonderful family! He has a story to tell that awakens our story by listening to his. Shower him – and his loving wife – with love gifts. Sow money and other financial means into his life.

I am so touched and blessed by this craftsmanship of God! Please, just love him the way God loves us, unconditionally. I am also pressed to thank his birth and especially adoptive parents (and those like them) for raising a giant. Love them and sow financially into their lives because they are changing lives with their devoted hearts.

This blog is not like my other blogs. It comes from deep, deep within my heart.

In one sentence, who is George?
My name is George Dennehy, I was adopted from Romania and I am a full time inspirational speaker and musician from Richmond, Virginia.

Briefly, please tell our readers a little bit about you…
I was born without arms, but I play guitar, piano, bass, and cello with my feet. For the past two years I have been sharing my story and music full-time. I was a featured artist at Musikfest, and a keynote speaker at CAFO (Christian Alliance For Orphans). In 2011, I was the winner of Richmond's Got Talent. I released my first record last year which has sold over 700 copies.

Can you please tell your fans what you have been up to and/or what's next?
As of right now, I have been taking a break with touring and have been focusing on writing and being a parent (my son was born a month ago). In the fall, my schedule gets busy again with many appearances in different states through the course of a couple months. In November alone I will be in eight different states.

We celebrate love. Do you think true love exists? If so, Who/what/where is it?
I do believe true love exists. In a world where love doesn't seem to matter much anymore, I am of the few that still believes that love is real, and that it can save us. I believe true love is found when we let go of controlling our love lives and let fate bring the one to us who is truly meant for us.

For a long time I didn't think I would ever get married because of my disability, I didn't date too much growing up, I had a couple failed relationships that only led me to believe that there is no one out there for me. But as soon as I stopped trying so hard, Stephanie walked into my life and now we are married with a baby!

Do you think there is still a place for marriage in this day-and-age?
I also believe that marriage is such a magical and divine commitment. It saddens me to see marriage dwindle in today's day and age, but the truth is that marriage is sacred. It's a lifelong commitment to your spouse and to God. People take it too lightly these days and I can't stand it. Marriage is a magical bond between man and woman.

Do you have a message to Wedding Anthem?
A quick message I would like to give to the readers is that if they have been in a couple relationships that haven't worked out, I know it's easy to lose hope. I want to encourage you not to give up.

Great message, thanks. Anything else on your mind?
This is my mission. Encouraging you to not give up on your hopes, dreams, and love… I would love to hear from everyone so please reach out! Thank you again!
