Catherine Grenfell by Ross GarettIt is not every day that one gets to hear of what I would describe as "a crazy kind of love" that really does change everything. You read about it in novels and fairy-tales, but it hardly ever transcends into the realm of the living.

Well, it did. It happened. It happened to the very beautiful 5FM on-air presenter, Catherine Grenfell. In the midst of her adventurous, sporty and lively life; love spotted her, scooped her together and transformed her into believer of true love.

One can't come into contact with "true love" and remain the same... Dearest Wedding Anthem readers, be inspired, even as you read!

In one sentence, who is Catherine?
I am a person trying to make any small change in the world that I can.

Please tell our readers a little bit about you...
I am a wife and a mother to five children (three of my own and two step-children). I am DJ and on-air presenter at 5FM. I work on The Fresh Drive and have my own show (Live)5. I am a lover of all music and I try and do a lot for charity. I have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, cycled the Pick n Pay Cycle Challenge and I love being a part of the South African music scene.

Can you please tell your fans what you have been up to and/or what's next?
I recently swam in the half iron man as part of a team. I am going to swim the Midmar Mile for The Pink Drive and cycle the Pick n Pay Cycle Challenge for The Pink Drive. I am extremely busy with DJ’ing all over the country and discovering new South African bands.

How do you find a balance between what you do and who you are?
I know what my priorities are and it is all about giving my family enough quality time and arranging my schedule in such a way that I know I can give enough time to everyone.

We celebrate love. Do you think true love exists? If so, Who/what/where is it?
Of course it exists. I have found it in my husband, Kevin Grenfell, and all of my beautiful children. It also exists when I look at the world, certain people, how beautiful the world is and can be.

Do you think there is still a place for marriage in this day-and-age?
I think it is completely up to every individual and it can be a very special ceremony of love between two people. I actually never thought I would get married and never saw the point in it, until I met my husband. We had an amazing, personal ceremony and my two sons walked me down the aisle. My husband and I wrote our vows to each other. It was extremely special.

Do you have a message to Wedding Anthem?
Relationships are so hard in this day-and-age and to celebrate true love, is an extremely special privilege.

Thanks for this lovely message! Is there anything else on your mind?
A special mention to people that are getting married: don’t go overboard and be as relaxed as you can. It isn’t about the decorations and where or when... It is about who you are celebrating with and that could be just your partner or hundreds of people. As long as you know love was shared on your beautiful day.
