WWWOne day... after visiting a close friend, she gave me a belated birthday gift. Knowing my love for uplifting music, I was pleasantly surprised to find that she had given me another CD as I was under the belief that nothing could replace the CD that she got me about five years ago.

I recall pressing "play" and undertaking what I thought was the long drive home. It was not long before I was subdued. Tears filled my eyes. I was encouraged.

Since then, I have been switching CDs, but no CD dominates as this one. It is not so much the highly talented voices, skilled band and refreshing group of young artists that stood out for me, but unrefined worship that consumed me. It is not the CD that you listen to and clap and cheer, but the one that leaves you silent on your knees.

It is not the CD you listen to if you want to tap into a flicker of worship, but one that facilitates a relentless, deeper worship encounter. I moved from singing along to singing from my gut. Even after I stopped and the music notes stopped, worship ascended, descended and filled the space. There were no words.

I have come to the firm conclusion that this is not a bunch of performers. No! We Will Worship (WWW) is comprised of true worship leaders ushering the audience into a deeper experience for the glory of God.

Dear Wedding Anthem readers, please go out and support them. We love them, love them, love them!

We Will Worship CD frontcoverIn one sentence, who is We Will Worship?
WWW is a movement of disciples of Jesus who are committed to worshipping God WITH everything, IN everything.

Briefly, please tell our readers a little bit about you...
We’re simply young people living all out for Jesus and have availed our lives, gifts and our everything to Him and His kingdom. Jesus is so real and so worth it! All the cool stuff that has happened on our journey as a band was just a “cherry on top”.

We won a Metro FM Award (2011 Best Gospel Album), Crown Gospel Award (2012 Best Newcomer) and were nominated for a South African Music Award (2012 Best Contemporary Faith Music) during our debut year. We were super privileged to be the only gospel artists featured at the 2012 SAMAs, considering we’re still newcomers. We were featured on a number of TV and radio shows but one of our most memorable was on Loyiso Bala’s "Love Complete" DVD recording doing our song "Jeso Konyana" with him. That was good fun!

Can you please tell your fans what you have been up to and/or what's next?
As a band, we had a busy and eventful year. We released our debut album “The moveMEANT begins” in August 2011 and have been at various churches, events and concerts sharing our songs with fellow worshippers of Jesus. We are currently working on our second album, which will be out around March 2013. With the new album we’ll be touring various cities in and out of South Africa, spreading the movement.

We celebrate love. Do you think true love exists? If so, Who/what/where is it?
Of course we believe in love. God is love! God is not only love, but He demonstrates true love by GIVING Jesus to die for us. Quoting Rich Deem “According to the Bible, love is caring in action, not what we feel, but what we do.” Love is a verb and therefore love is expressed through action. If you say you love someone, show it! We have the capacity to love only because we are made in God’s image and can only truly love unconditionally when we receive God’s unconditional love for us. You can’t give what you don’t have.

Do you think there is still a place for marriage in this day-and-age?
Marriage is God's idea and therefore as long as He thinks there’s a place for marriage, there’s a place. It’s not about our opinions as mankind, but about the Creators design. Pretty much all of society’s ills are rooted in broken and dysfunctional relationships between men and women. Marriage is about one man coming together with one woman with the purpose of becoming one. Anything outside of this is counterfeit and leads to dysfunction, hurt and pain.

If reverence was restored to the institution of marriage, we would see a generational blessing released over our nation, as men would love and care for their wives and children creating an environment within which they can flourish and be fruitful in all they do as in Psalm 128. What society is in need of is examples of marriage done Gods’ way.

Do you have a message to Wedding Anthem?
Keep up the good work! Thank you for proclaiming truth and promoting the love Jesus has demonstrated in the glorious covenant of marriage. Viva marriage viva!
