Romeo Mabasa1He has many roles that he skillfully takes on. None stands out (to me), like his SABC Crown Gospel Award nominated show on Impact Radio (103 FM)! If you listen to this station, you will most likely agree with me, if you don't listen to it, just try it (I did and I am hooked for years).

Yes, I do personally listen to his show and have been doing so for a long time. Even without a face, his voice commands healing and encouragement through the air waves of this Christian based radio station. It is not just the jokes and doctrine, but the song choices, sleek responses and chirpiness of this DJ.

He is just downright refreshing and a blessing. Invite him into your home, earphones, online streaming or car, by turning on the radio and singing along to the music.

That being said, it is perhaps worth mentioning that in his interview, he touches on managing his time and responding timeously... Wedding Anthem can attest to this!

As I said, he has many roles, but goes by one name. Dearest Wedding Anthem reader, please welcome Romeo Mabasa into your space. It truly is a blessing untold, to feature him on our site.

Who is Romeo?
Romeo Mabasa is a Life Coach, Business Mentor, Radio DJ, Actor, Model, Author (Nuts and Bolts of Relationships and Personal Motivation), Management Consultant and business man. His Radio Show (The Refreshing Zone on Impact Radio) has been nominated for the Best Community Gospel Radio Show at the 5th SABC Crown Gospel Awards. Romeo has received five awards for his contribution in local Gospel music by Spirit Music.

Can you please tell your fans what you have been up to and/or what's next?
I have been doing a lot of Corporate and Personal Motivation as my focus is not only large crowds but individuals who are not comfortable about staying in the same place, but seek to improve and become their individual best.

The year 2013 looks to be a bigger and better year with some activations we will be doing, including some collaborations with key celebrities. Stay tuned as I will be updating you through Facebook and Twitter.

How do you find a balance between what you do and who you are?
I have found an interesting way to make my time work for me and I have learned to juggle between what needs to be done through a personal hierarchy I have defined. I have also mastered the art of working smart. I can therefore write a chapter of my new book (Personal Motivation, volume 2), attend all my meetings and return all business and personal calls in a short period of time. It's not difficult. Be smart about what you need to achieve in your day. I have time to go to the gym, spend time with my family and most importantly make time to get enough rest.

We celebrate love. Do you think true love exists? If so, Who/what/where is it?
Yes, I still believe that true love exist. Real love begins with you. You cannot give what you have experienced. I find that a lot of people are searching for love in the hope that someone will take care of them rather than finding someone to take care of. When you are constantly expecting to receive, you usually never think about the need to give. So good love is the one where you become a blessing in someone else's life; otherwise setting expectations for love, will result in perpetual frustrations. So in a nutshell, true love should begin with you as you can give what you are familiar with.

Do you think there is still a place for marriage in this day-and-age?
Yes, there still a place for marriage, for we cannot change God's plan for family. Those who are married need to keep holding on and those who contemplate marriage should pursue it with no fear. Marriage is God's institution and what God puts together, no man must put asunder. We need to look at the benefits of being married to a good partner for us to remain positive that marriage is still relevant to date.

Do you have a message to Wedding Anthem?
Your vision to restore the marriage institution should be commended and encouraged. Keep going. We support your vision. Keep up the good work. "You can do anything and no one can stop you" (Job 42:2, New Living Translation).

Note from Wedding Anthem: "In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen."
