Mwimeko Lunda. Photo by Olivia Shihambe, Twitter @that_girl_oliveYou may have heard her voice somewhere in a music track or cheered for her when she won an award at the Matlosana Entertainment Music Awards. She has many roles that range from being a songwriter and singer to strutting her stuff as a model.
This is her moment to shine! She refers to herself as an "upcoming artist"... We differ! She has arrived and is going places... it is just a matter of time before it all manifests!
Here is a star, ready and eager to shine at her appointed time.
Precious Wedding Anthem readers... I present you with Mwimeko Lunda!

In one sentence, who is Mwimeko?
Mwimeko is someone that is charismatic, adventurous and sees a new song in every situation, person and experience.

Can you please tell our readers a little bit about you...
I am an upcoming pop/dance singer and songwriter known on stage as M-ko. I have worked with the upcoming Capetonian rapper Fonzo and collaborated on a song titled ''The-rapy'' that debuted at number six (6) on Y-FM's Hip Hop Thursdays.

I have also received an award for Best Female Vocalist and Artist in 2010 at the Matlosana Entertainment Music Awards.

Can you please tell your fans what you have been up to and/or what's next?
I have been spending most of the year writing songs and going into studio to finalise the songs for my first solo EP project that will feature a listing of five songs ranging from pop and dance sounds with an international flavour while still remaining true to my African roots.

In 2013, I hope to focus on releasing my EP project and performing around the country to promote my music.

How do you find a balance between what you do and who you are?
I make sure that I remind myself regularly that what I do is an extension and reflection of who I am and try to remain as grounded as possible.

We celebrate love. Do you think true love exists? If so, Who/what/where is it?
Yes, I do believe that true love exists. True love manifests in every human being when we accept and appreciate someone for who they really are with their flaws, imperfections and celebrate them.

Do you think there is still a place for marriage in this day-and-age?
Yes, I do believe that there is a place for marriage in this day-and-age because marriage is a choice made between two people that love one another and want to share the journey of the rest of their lives together despite all the changing circumstances and situations.

Anything else on your mind?
I would just like to remind you that my stage name is M-ko and I am currently signed and working with a music entertainment company called Urban Prototype. My EP project is titled "Dance, Love Revolution".

Do you have a message to Wedding Anthem?
I would like to thank Wedding Anthem for reminding and showing us how to love one another and believe in true love and happiness.
