giraffes"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

God I don't know where I am. I am here and my heart is paining. I am here and all of me is down trodden, beaten up and bruised where no one can see it. I am here, but I don't even know how to get out.

You died for me. I cost you everything. Set me apart dear God. Accept me for there is no other rescue. LORD make me over.

Thought for the day: God hold me together. My Help comes from you.

Prayer: Emmanuel. God with us!

trust"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up  their wounds." (Psalms 147:3)

People change. Sometimes they pretend to be who they are not in order to gain your trust and win your love and once they have ticked off what they wanted, they revert back to who they really are.

Even in the hurricane, lift up your eyes, raise your head up high. You will arise for you are a child of God. Your Father is in full control and loves you unconditionally. You are not a slave of fear, depression and statistics. You are a child of God, born to overcome like your heavenly Father.

Even when the earth beneath your feet gives way; arise! This will not lead to death. There is One who never changes. Never changing God of love be near. This will not end in death.

Thought for the day: God is near and in me.

Prayer: Oh Jesus! Heal me! Love me! Hold me together! Heal my heart as only You can. I don't see how, but my soul knows that You are able and willing. Help me Jesus!

car accident"Therefore let those who suffer according to God’s will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good." (1 Peter 4:19)

God, do what only You can do. Here I am. Do you still heal the brokenhearted? Do you still fix messed up bodies and possessed minds? Yes, I know You do. Make me whole because I know that You can. Do not go past me. I know that You can and will and are making me new. Restore my heart deep down in the innermost places. I trust You.

Thought for the day: Help me LORD!

Prayer: Amen

"Love is patient..." (1 Corinthians 13:4[a], New Living Translation)

So many things have been written about love. We read in popular culture about how love is magical, changes people and crosses all sorts of divides (racial, geographical, physical and digital divides).

Love is portrayed as this fast, bubbly thing. Yet the Word of God (Bible) says love is patient. I know things are not moving at your desired pace right now, but love is patient. I know you may not yet be where you thought you would be by now, but remember that love is patient. That partner may not be making progress right now and in stead seeming worse, but remind yourself that love is patient.

How often do we frustrate God? How often do we reject Him in public, ignore to do His commands and not love others the way that He loves us? Yet He, God, Love Himself is patient with us. God is patient with me. Love is all in all for Love is Christ Jesus Himself.

Thought for the day: Love is patient. May I not forget that. May I practice patience with others and myself. May I not be deceived into thinking that love is fast and out of control because love is patient.

Prayer: But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. (1 John 4:8)

hospital hand“You are my hiding-place and my shield; in your word I put my hope.” (Psalms 119:114)

Sometime, you need to remind yourself and talk to yourself in advance concerning where you should run to in the day of testing. Perhaps you feel like you already are in the heat of battle. Tell yourself out loud: run to God!

That is where you are safe. Stop turning to humankind. Run to God oh child of God.

Thought for the day: Where is your hiding place?

Prayer: Jesus!
